According to the Petition for Administration of his father's estate (Erie County Surrogate Court File # 24272), Orlando lived in South Bend, Indiana, in 1884, when the petition was filed. Orlando Wheelock appears in the 1870 (pg 430) and 1880 (page 450) Federal Census, living in Portage, St. Joseph Co, Indiana. The 1870 Census shows him age 36, butcher, born in NY, living with Susan, age 31, born in NY, Hattie, age 8, born in NY, and Flora, age 3, born in Indiana. Note that Orlando's brother, Lewis, lived in South Bend, Indiana for a time, sharing the same occupation as his brother - "Agent for the Iron Fence".
Orlando was 66 when he died 7 Nov 1900 per South Bend death record.
