Grace was born northwest of Alva and attended the Fairview Grade Schools, graduated from Hardtner High School and attended the Northwestern Normal College where she received her teaching certificate. She received her bachelors from Northwestern and her masters from Stanford University. Grace and Archibald had one child, Robert Alan McAllister. (Source: Records of Ruth Christina Wheelock, by way of Ralph D. Biddle, Tecumseh, OK., Apr 1998.)
A letter from Grace's brother, Albert Wheelock, states that Grace was in a nursing home in Fairview, Oklahoma in 1980. Grace was also identified in the letter as the "family genealogist". Persis (Park) Ivett makes occasional reference to "Grace MacAllister" in her genealogical notes, so the two must have corresponded. Albert's letter states that Grace's genealogical records were lost.
